Saturday night belonged once again to Sammy Smith. For the second straight race in the ARCA Menards Series, Smith picked up the win in dominating fashion. Despite losing the lead early on in the race, Smith was able to regain it by the first break and cruise to victory.
Jesse Love, Jr. took over the lead from Smith following a restart. However it was Smith jumping back out front 60 laps into the event. Once back out front, Smith never looked back. Smith led at the first of two breaks throughout the race.
Despite a crazy restart following the break, Smith was able to hold the lead. It was Smith checking out from Love as Love battled with Daniel Dye in the second position. Some action back in the pack took place at Elko Speedway in Minnesota but nothing out front for Smith. He was on cruise control and led the field to the second break of the night.
From there Smith drove away and had his sights set on his second straight win. No pressure from Love or any of the contenders behind him, Smith went on to win the Menards 250 at Elko Speedway. Driving the Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 18 to victory yet again and did it with no challenge all night long.
