Meyer-Rossi Racing driver Ashton Torgerson was injured in an accident Wednesday during the Chili Bowl Nationals preliminary night A-Main held at the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Okla.
After making contact with the wall, Torgerson’s car flipped and the 16-year old who had started on the front row of the race was thrown out of his car and onto the racing surface.
The race was red flagged and Torgerson was driven to an area hospital with his family by ambulance where he is receiving treatment. Updates on his condition will be posted below.

Wednesday, Jan. 11 | 11:18 p.m. – The first update came in on Torgerson, stating he had passed what tests he had gotten to that point.

Ashton is awake and alert at the hospital. He has feeling in hands and feet and has passed his tests so far.
