Racing season is here, and the year in sports cars kick off this weekend with the 60th running of the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.
Over the weekend, drivers and teams competed in qualifying races to determine the starting lineups for the race before they take to the track on Saturday.
We break down the heavy hitters and the TV schedule below, before we go in-depth with our Rolex 24 coverage later this week.
How to watch the 2022 Rolex 24
Below is simply the TV-only schedule that your standard household (that hasn’t cut the cord) will be able to see on television. The event is being held on NBC as well as USA Network – which will host the entire IndyCar schedule on top of half the NASCAR season.
TV Schedule (All Times CT)
Saturday
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. | NBC
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | USA
9:00 p.m. – Midnight | USA
Sunday

Of course, other options to watch the event include streaming platforms – and IMSA got a sweet deal for 2022.
The entirety of the Rolex 24, start-to-finish can be seen live on both IMSA TV and also on Peacock (which will host exclusive rights to one IndyCar race in 2022).
Wayne Taylor Racing’s Konica Minolta No. 10 is on the pole for the event a year after winning the marathon race for the third straight time and fourth time in five years. Primary drivers Ricky Taylor and Felipe Albuquerque return as well as IndyCar’s Alexander Rossi, along with newcomer Will Stevens.
Most teams in the major class will carry a four-driver team to Daytona, with two being the regular pilots for each team and a pair of outsiders that are usually contracted for each of the four, IMSA endurance events.
Always Race Day will have more coverage of the 2022 edition of the Rolex 24 later in the week.
