According to a report by Dirtfish.com, American motorsports star and defending Nitro Rallycross champion Travis Pastrana has been injured in a base jumping accident.
It’s reported that Pastrana was jumping off of a high-rise hotel, and crash-landed into a park nearby when his parachute didn’t deploy.
The injuries are being reported as simply a broken pelvis, but there has not yet been any official comment from Pastrana, Subaru or Nitro Rallycross.
The racer was filming content for an online series during the stunt and the hotel is being recognized as the Hyatt Centric Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
