Jack Dover earns first career 410 win at Huset's Weekly Show

Jack Dover had to hold off the likes of Mark DobmeierJustin Henderson, and a plethora of wrecked race cars at the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday.

But the young gun came out on top.

Dover’s black-and-orange No. 81 car sat in victory lane on Sunday at the Huset’s Speedway in the driver’s first ever win in a 410 sprint car.

“My biggest thing is I’ve never won a 410 race until tonight,” Dover said on the DirtVision broadcast. “It’s a cool feeling. I knew I had heard somebody behind me there in second and then my crew guys told me (during an open red) what was going on.”

On three different occasions, Dover took the white flag at the start/finish line.

He just kept holding off the No. 13, though.

“I just knew I had to keep my composure and like I said it rubbered down so I just stuck my car in there and let it stick,” Dover said.

While Dover got the win, the Huset’s points leader in Henderson took third.

Carson McCarl, who wrecked during his heat race and got some damage early on in the feature, went from P24-P6 to take home the hard charger award on Sunday.

That helps cushion what could have been a massive gain for Henderson in the points standings.

The Huset’s Speedway will wrap up its season championship on September 25th and 26th later next month as all three drivers compete for the track championship in 2021.
