There wasn’t much more that could happen to Indiana Midget Week after the first six nights of action in the Hoosier State, but the annual week of midget racing delivered again on Friday night.
Buddy Kofoid became the first repeat winner of the week capturing the victory and leading all 30 laps and ascending to the top of the Indiana Midget Week points.
The kicker is, he’s separated from his two biggest competitors for the title by just 12 points – and they’re both coming off of top 5 runs as well.
Logan Seavey and Daison Pursley took home third and fourth-place finishes on Friday night, setting up a mad dash to the week’s championship on Saturday.
Drivers will earn points during time trials as well as heat races to set up the feature, where each position is worth three points on the race track.
They usually say, “Get your ass to Kokomo,” but this Indiana Midget Week finale at the famous track has the makings for something even more special.
