For the first time in series history, an Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series champion was crowned on Saturday night.
Zach Daum, behind the wheel of the Bundy Built Motorsports No. 9M, came away with the points title after the finish to the Meents Memorial finale to cap off the season Saturday.
The Pocahontas, Ill. driver earned five podium finishes, six top 5’s and eight top 10’s across the inaugural slate of a schedule for the series.
Culminating with his lone win at Port City Raceway this week, Daum takes home the title in a series that saw nine different winners in its first year of action.
